When it comes to planning a memorial service or celebration of life ceremony, there’s the usual go-to centerpieces: flowers, candles, etc., which are undoubtedly classic elements of creating a beautiful event. But there’s something about stepping outside of the box that brings even more meaning to a ceremony that is conscious of the loss — the flight — of someone we love. With that in mind, we recommend creating a feather bouquet.

All you need are feathers, stencils, a steady hand and spray/acrylic paint. Spell out your loved one’s initials, simple words of love and comfort or a poem. You may also consider releasing doves at the event (check out services like this site).
