Being that SevenPonds is located in San Francisco, the home of Robin Williams, we are incredibly saddened to hear the news of his suicide at the age of 63. We were aware he’d been suffering from depression for some time now. His publicist reports he died from asphyxiation.

Robin Williams had been married three times over the years. His widow, Susan Schneider, is a graphic designer. He’s survived by his three children: Zachary Pym (Zak) from his first wife Valerie Velardi and Zelda Rae & Cody Alan from his second wife Marsha Garces.

Williams was raised in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, where I also lived prior to moving to San Francisco. It has beautiful tree-covered roads and large mansions that Williams, as an only child, recalled feeling very alone in such a big house.

As we announce this, our hearts go out to his family members. He was loved by fans and those who, like me, saw him live at San Francisco’s Bimbo’s 365 Club , where he would test his comedy on the public. I feel fortunate to have seen him perform live!

We’ll miss you Robin!
