A Song Resonates With A Reader

Letters like these are the inspiration that keep us going

bird with letter from sevenponds reader about griefTo Our Readers,

We are proud to share with you a letter (via email) from a visitor to our SevenPonds website. Jim was inspired by the information we provide to help people like him navigate the end of life.

Suzette Sherman, Founder

“Hello,

I came across your site today, as I heard “Ordinary World” by Duran Duran and the song really resonated, so after googling I found your site and the post helped me understand why I had such a reaction.  I would like to post about Madonna’s “I’ll Remember,” another song that has really helped me to process my grief.  Do I send it to you?

Jim Engstrom”

My Response:

Hi Jim,

I love when our readers email us suggestions! We always appreciate the feedback and thoughts.

I will forward your Madonna song to Kathleen, our Editor in Chief, to have it included in our column “Expressive Music” in the future. I am a big fan of songs and films as one option to help process grief. It was a big part of my personal experience, which is why I included such sections in our SevenPonds website.

I hope you come to visit SevenPonds again, especially since I see you are already on your own journey through the grief of someone you really loved and will always deeply miss.

Love & Best Wishes,

Suzette
