Last February, SevenPonds wrote a review of a moving documentary from Jimmy Edmonds and Jane Harris, “A Love That Never Dies.” A film about the pain of losing a child, the movie chronicles the couple’s grief following the loss of their son, Joshua, who died while on a road trip in Vietnam at the age of 22. It also shares the stories of other bereaved parents who Jimmy and Jane met as they sought to lessen their pain through connection and shared experiences of loss.
Now, Jimmy and Jane have announced “A Love That Never Dies” Bay Area debut. Offered as part of this year’s San Francisco Reimagine End of Life Festival, the screenings will be held at the following locations and times:
Saturday, October 26th, 1:00 p.m.
Aquatic Park
800 Beach Street
San Francisco, CA
Monday, October 28th, 7:00 p.m.
New Parkway Theater
474 24th Street
Oakland, CA
Tickets are available on the Reimagine website and are priced at $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and students.
Both screenings of the film will be followed by a Q&A with Jane and Jimmy.
About Jane Harris and Jimmy Edmonds
Jane Harris and Jimmy Edmonds hail from the United Kingdom, where Jane is a psychotherapist and Jimmy is a filmmaker. After the death of their son, they founded a charity, The Good Grief Project, which is dedicated to helping bereaved parents find creative and meaningful ways to express their grief. They have produced several films, the latest of which is “A Love That Never Dies.”
For this trip to the United States, Jimmy and Jane teamed up with George Mark Children’s House in San Leandro, California — the first residential pediatric palliative care center in the United States. They will be holding a special press event to announce the film debut at the Children’s House on October 25th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
