An informal chat with SevenPonds: Let's open the conversation on end-of-life!

Go Wish Cards are a wonderful tool to open the conversation on death with family or friends.

Today, April 29th from 5:30 to 7:30, SevenPonds is hosting our very first for-the-public event here at our San Francisco office!

We’ll be discussing:

* What is advance care directives, POLST, a DNR?
* What is a heart will (ethical will)?
* What might happen if I DON’T make my wishes known?
* How do I want my body to be cared for? How do I decide that?
* How does “getting my affairs in order” inform how I live TODAY?
* What are the tools and forms I can use to discuss and document end-of-life wishes with my family?

Directing our chat will be Sally Shannon, M.A., a certified facilitator of “LeaveLight, Holistic End of Life Planning.” Shannon received an M.A. for her Independent Study: Dying, Loss and Grief; A Curriculum Development. She has studied with Elisabeth Kubler-Ross (who developed the five stages, the author of the groundbreaking book “On Death and Dying”) and Stephen Levine (author and teacher best known for his work on death and dying) Ms. Shannon is passionate about making empowered choices so that we can all “Live Like We’re Dying.”

We’ll be serving wine and cheese, and the neighborhood has plenty of free parking!

Please feel free to R.S.V.P. by emailing us at Pondering@sevenponds.com. Help us spread the word! We’re very excited and can’t wait to see you all!
