Our Tip of the Week: A chalkboard wall opens up a new creative space in your home — something that can be especially useful for those in the stages of grief. Write down words of frustration or inspiration, a loved one’s comforting sayings or a few lines to a poem or song. It’s gratifying to express your feelings on the very walls of your home — and to know that you have the power to create a “clean slate” for yourself.
How-to Suggestion: You’ll need basic paint supplies (a roller, paint tray, mini roller, some tape and little brush) along with the chalkboard paint, which you can get at most hardware stores. Go about the painting project as you would with any other, being sure to tape wisely and give your surface about two coats.
